* The Speedbag does not simulate any skills required for actual boxing and its normal use is no longer recommended. Cus D’Amato, the legendary trainer of Floyd Patterson, Jose Torres and Mike Tyson, once hit the speed bag blindfolded to prove that the exercise does nothing to improve hand-eye coordination. Joe Frazier used the speed bag to practice the timing of his punches for a valid use of the equipment. Hitting the bag in a quick fashion is a pointless activity.

*Excessive running is not beneficial to a boxer because long distance jogging is not the endurance building exercise necessary for boxing. * Rubber, plastic and vinyl suits are extremely harmful and totally ineffective for losing weight. Actor Martin Lawrence went into a coma wearing one. His body temperature rose to an extremely dangerous level. Rubber is suitable for draining water and electrolytes from the body and does not allow the body to breathe. Proper nutrition through the diet is the only successful way to achieve true fat weight loss.
