Weight Loss 101 – Can Eating a Big Breakfast Help You to Lose Weight? Part II

Eating a healthy breakfast is very important for many reasons and one of them is weight loss. Studies show that people who eat a healthy breakfast tend to overeat and gain weight.

We’ve all heard the saying that you should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen, and dinner like a pauper. This is still true. But unfortunately, it is the opposite for most people. They ate breakfast like paupers, flew like queens, and had dinner or supper like kings. This is a surefire recipe for weight gain.

Try to avoid the high sugar, highly refined, highly processed package of cereals. It’s not in your best interest and defeats the entire purpose of having breakfast. When it comes to cereal, don’t be fooled by the deceptive, misleading advertising, Honey Nut Cheerios comes to mind, so I’ll use that as an example. This series has way more sugar than honey and way more salt than nuts, it’s super refined, highly processed, and made with ingredients I can’t even name. I don’t want to pick on this series, sorry if this is your favorite series. But my point here is that we should be label readers. Forget what they see on TV about this or that product, the most important thing is that the nutritional information is on the back of the package. If sugar or high fructose corn syrup or any other form of sweetener appears in the first five ingredients, leave it alone.

Eating a healthy breakfast is your first step to losing weight and boosting your energy levels. So start eating your most important meal from tomorrow morning.
