Anorexia – Dying to Be Thin

Often, when people think of anorexia, they think of a young Holocaust survivor who starves herself to maintain her “ideal” weight, or vomits after every meal. Again, I’m a big believer in taking care of things before I lose control. Early detection is key. Treat any problem when it’s small and manageable and I think of the 32kg woman I went to and wondered when it started.

I think the reason eating disorders are so out of control is because people think eating disorders are when you eat too much or don’t eat at all. In fact, all negative thoughts about food and body image are warning signs of an eating disorder.

If you’re worried about your daughter’s eating habits and want to make sure she doesn’t become part of the above statistics, get rid of them first. Take a look at yourself and see if you have any eating habits that are warning signs.

  2. Do you eat junk?
  3. Do you eat sweets when you feel down?
  4. Do you think food is the enemy?
  5. Do you think you need to look like the models in the magazine?
  6. Are you constantly struggling with your weight?

Answer all of these questions for yourself, and if you’re confident about your body and weight and have happy thoughts about food and health, you’re well on your way to making sure your daughter isn’t dying to be thin and that she’s growing up safely to be happy. and a healthy girl.
