Balancing Your Chakras to Heal Emotional Eating

Energy Balancing of the Chakra, when combined with hypnosis, can help people lose weight and feed the “Hungry Heart” from emotional eating. I have noticed many overweight people who “leak” energy in what I call the “Hunger Chakra” located in the “basin” of the lower abdomen, also known as the Sacral Chakra area. If you are challenged with the frustration of excess weight and “yo-yo” dieting, ask yourself these questions:

• Have you wasted your precious time, energy and money on this weight release problem?

It’s human nature to want what you can’t do—set the most for the party. Your body is hard-wired to seek energy when it’s hungry. But to satisfy that Spiritual Hunger, your Heart Chakra, located in the center of your chest is the healer and transformer and balancer of all Chakras. Only through the wisdom of your Heart Chakra, working in concert with your “Hungry” Sacral Chakra, the need to achieve Balance can help tame the Hungry Beast.

Listen with your Heart Chakra! Treat yourself like your best friend – with respect, care and compassion. Listen to your body’s needs and order for you. Ask yourself: What do you need? What type of food do you need to stay healthy? Are you really hungry—or do you need to be fed and comforted with love and kindness—to reach out to your loved ones—or to give love or help others? Do you need to move and stretch yourself? Do you need to take a delicious breath? Or are you hungry for some “me” time? A very simple exercise to Balance your Hunger Sacral Chakra is to connect with the healing and transformative energy of the sacred Heart Chakra. The techniques are as follows:

First rub your hands together and place one of your hands on the sacral area about two inches down from the navel and the other hand on your heart. You can easily “connect” with your chakras through the breath of life…just follow the flow of your breath in and out as you release, relax and let go of your body as you imagine your breath as a flow. ocean waves. Imagine a gentle flow of radiant light moving in and out through the center of your heart. Feel, sense or imagine a bright light in the center of your heart—the light of your soul. Feel this inner light become brighter and more radiant-open and fill all the dark places and places within you and illuminate your life with love, forgiveness, peace and understanding. You can even let the light of love shine brighter when you remember a loved one, a baby’s smile, the giggles of children playing, a beloved pet, a beautiful sunset or a scene in nature that takes your breath away! Now imagine a spiral cord of light connecting from the Heart Chakra to the Sacral Chakra and a spiral cord of light rising from your sacral chakra and that spiraling down from your heart chakra intertwining like a spiraling double helix of light. The balance color of your Sacral Chakra is orange. As you inhale and exhale, imagine a golden orange ball heating up your belly and filling it with light. Allow the glowing orange light to grow brighter and brighter. Feel the light that fills the room and the empty space in your belly with warmth and sunlight.

Imagine this area as an open vessel, a bowl of light that opens and receives this positive energy and becomes revitalized and recharged and full. Take in as much as you need to take and feel good for you. Now rotate your hands first in a clockwise and then in a counterclockwise position 7x to balance and anchor this energy in your body.
