I get so sick of these reviewers always saying the new hack and slash games coming out that are beautiful by the way can't wait but comparing every game to souls games….these games have their own identities just stop it..not everyone thinks souls games were a phenom. even tho souls is fantastic..these games look like they can surpass souls in my opinion that is.

   I left off some Indies, Sports & trendy AAA games. Everyone knows those games are usually good. These are the games that interest me the most. I watched a lot of trailers & announcements to put this together.

   The new IP from Bungie & the new IP from Quantic Dream based on The Dark Sorcerer tech demo codename – Dreamland.

   Konami has claimed to have 3 games in the works related to Metal Gear Solid 1-3 remasters & a possible Metal Gear Solid remake, also Castlevannia Revival will be new direction for the series.

Most of these hack slashes look generic with infinite combos, they are beautiful, but I don't see much fun, they look like some old Japanese hack-slashes that I saw beautiful, but without history, just hitting the same enemies all the time, want to sell a good hack-slash has a good story behind it.

30. Soulstice, Lost Soul Aside, Faith of Danschant, Project DT, and Gori Cuddly Carnage are the only ones there I would call hack and slash.

    The rest can be good action games, but they seem too focus on other stuff and not that much on stylish fast paced combo action based and how good you are executing them.
    A shame this genre is so understimate, specially on the west.

31. Project dt isn't a hack n' slash until she uses a weapon. This is a beat em' up. HNS is not a general term, it applies to specific mechanics. That's like saying sleeping dogs is a HNS

32. All Chinese games have two big problems that they don't have English dubbing and the player doesn't enjoy this experience. For example, imagine playing Devil May Cry or nier for the first time with Japanese audio? Will this experience be enjoyable for you?
    And the second problem is their incredibly weak story that never makes you to engage with the game

35. I'm glad gaming is returning to it's roots… Western Studios almost F-it up to the point of almost every major Publisher is selling their companies… That's a shame. Here comes Asia to take it all back…
